The innovative custom-designed main pcb includes a microprocessor, flash memory and an FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array). The FPGA gives a great deal of flexibility, providing compatibility with many different array detectors. The fast and accurate 14-bit ADC provides outstanding linearity and the provision of user-programmable digital I/O is extremely useful in many applications where external triggering is required. Additionally, 4 programmable analogue output (0-20mA or 4-20mA) channels are provided, making the instrument ideal for process control applications. The pcb also includes a USB2 chip allowing very fast data transfer to a PC. Full wavelength scans are collected in a few milliseconds. |
